"Less professional" webinar systems - still great tools!

03/27/2020

Recently, an entry has appeared on our blog about professional webinar systems, i.e. platforms enabling digital meetings and online communication. Along with the development of people and the world, solutions are sought that allow increasing the speed and effectiveness of knowledge exchange. Webinars are used by those professional groups who care most about the development of competences. Research shows that the most popular topics of webinars are foreign languages and aspects related to management. However, the world is constantly changing - as we have felt in the last few weeks - and the challenge is to adapt to these changes. Here comes the question, what webinars do Poles want? The observatory shows that for our compatriots the most important aspects of such training are access to additional materials, the ability to interact with the trainer, including asking questions or chatting, and the ability to archive the recording. To meet this goal, we've put together another interesting webinar platform next to each other. Do any of them answer the needs of the listeners?

Some more examples

  • Expertise tv. is a webinar platform for experts operating in HTML5. Its free version is available, without the "Free Forever" time limit, the use of which allows us to conduct the webinar efficiently and reliably. In this platform, retransmission, i.e. live broadcasting on Facebook, is possible, and the creation of video materials is very simple. By creating a mailing list, we are building a community - we can invite participants of previous meetings to upcoming events. Expertisetv also has chat, the ability to check attendance or share questionnaires.
  • Crowdcast is easy to use and innovative - more like a social platform than a typical webinar program. Each user running webinars has their own profile, and thanks to its observation viewers can be up to date with "news". An additional plus is the ability to conduct presentations with multiple hosts or screen sharing - a very convenient option when we want to present a PowerPoint presentation to our listeners.  However, webinar customization is significantly limited. Crowdcast provides its own platform for creating meetings, without interfering with their content, but imposes a framework for the appearance of the profile or webinar room. It's also worth knowing that in Crowdcast, meetings automatically end after 2 hours.
  • BigMarker offers us many options for creating webinars: from live events, through seminars on demand (pre-recorded webinars are available to viewers at any time), to a virtual meeting room 24/7, which is always available webinar room, which you can join whenever the need arises. This is a huge plus for people who organize many different events online. In addition, BigMarker offers a wide range of well-designed introduction page templates.
  • HQWebinar is a platform that offers many interesting solutions. The option of adding videos to the webinar and the ability to study resources from external websites are interesting, making the webinar more interesting and engaging. HQWebinar also gives you the opportunity to create a waiting room where visitors can view useful information and resources while waiting for an event. The platform also has basic facilities, such as live chat or screen sharing.
  • Demio is defined as "a webinar platform created with marketing in mind." Ease of use, good picture and sound quality and a clean, minimal user interface will surely appeal to many interested parties. Demio features features that allow greater engagement and interaction during the event, such as live chat, surveys, and the ability to share information materials as downloadable files.
  • Webinar Jam offers a lot of facilities for beginners - training videos can be found at every step, thanks to which we will quickly learn what and how to do. Webinar Jam provides the option of "pop-up buttons", surveys, offers and deductions that encourage participants to take action. In addition, each webinar is automatically registered and a replay can be sent to the participants.
  • Livestorm is a solution for webinars and online meetings without downloading. You can also use Livestorm on mobile devices. In addition to basic webinar functions, Livestorm also offers advanced post-meeting analytics tools as well as audience segmentation functions.
  • Easy Webinar offers a large selection of cyclical, one-time or automatic events during the creation of the webinar. The options can be easily adapted to each other, but in Easy Webinar we will not find the option to ask questions, send surveys to viewers, and there is no possibility of using the "array". So webinars at Easy Webinar will be in the form of lectures rather than interactive learning.

As you can see, the choice is huge. Thanks to this, we are able to choose the most suitable form of conducting online meetings. However, it is worth, above all, not to forget about positive energy when interacting with listeners - it will even forgive problems with busy servers.
