Surveys - useful or not?

What exactly are these surveys for?

In today's post, we'll take a closer look at the topic of surveys, and more specifically, we'll introduce some useful tools to create them. Why, surveys? It is still an underestimated (although less and less) form of opinion polling in Poland. A thriving Social Media is an excellent source of opinions and comments, but the customer surveys that go with them will definitely improve the substantive quality of the feedback. Taking the definition of the survey as research - we follow the principles of this creation, so we must adopt the methodologies, such as "measuring tools" such as the scale of grades, etc. A good idea when creating surveys, assuming that we want to do this work professionally - is taking expert advice. Why? Well, if only because it will choose the right tools to measure quality under the direction of the market in which we operate. Thanks to this you will get the answers most specific to your field of activity - you will be able to compete with the competition on the market. The survey should be well thought out. Answer the question: WHAT do I want to know? The use of open questions is a golden rule in this type of research and we should really focus our attention on these. This form of "prompting" customers for opinions, carried out in a systematic, continuous manner will provide a wide range of information what our customers expect, and in what direction should we develop. The very approach to inviting you to surveys is also important. Some companies use (quite common) techniques for premium surveys - i.e. complete the survey and you will get from us 5%, 10, 13% etc. for your next purchase. It is also important not to spam all users. Usually, 1 300 completed surveys are enough to obtain statistical significance of results. Ok, we've collected some very important rules when creating surveys, so let's introduce the programs used to create them.

  • Typeform is a product that was created in Barcelona. Online software serves as a service for companies that specializes in creating forms and online surveys. His main task is to give surveys dynamism based on the needs of users. The form is very legible and the content is selected in such a way that the entire task takes the user as little time as possible.
  • Thanks to Klaxoon you have a wide range of applications at your disposal to stimulate group discussion. Performance tools, training materials, experience sharing, voting or challenges "word clouds". Thanks to the tool, time spent on meetings is reduced by half, and reports are generated automatically.
  • In Google Forms, you can plan your next tent trip, manage the registration of people for training, conduct a quick survey, collect email addresses for the newsletter, prepare a test, etc. The tool creates the possibility of adding your logo, photo or avatar to personalize the whole picture to yours needs. You can also choose one of the ready-made themes offered by Google. You can choose from many types of questions, such as multiple choice questions, drop-down lists, and a linear scale. Responses to surveys are automatically and carefully collected in Forms, and information on responses and charts are updated on a regular basis. You can also view all this data in Sheets. The forms themselves work quickly, so you can easily create, edit and fill forms on screens of any size.
  • Webiankieta is a very extensive tool with a wide range of available functions. As many as 18 different forms of questions are used to create surveys (e.g. drag and drop, expandable letter, multiple choice test, etc.). We can also completely manage the graphic design of the form. We have the ability to choose fonts, logos and even choose your own text on the navigation buttons. Employee evaluations, tests, quizzes, sending e-mails or widgets for website research are just a few options available in this device. Presentation of aggregate results in numbers, percentages and charts will allow us to provide very accurate answers to the questions we are interested in.
  • SurveyMonkey is an easy-to-use tool for creating personalized online surveys. SurveyMonkey Enterprise helps users throughout the organization access the right data so they can make the most of it. We have here full availability of data such as who and how often logs in to be able to control the use and adjust the activity of surveys between teams.

We have briefly described the most important functions of several survey platforms. In the next article, we'll introduce another "portion", because as we can see, these are great tools to improve the broadly understood feedback of our company on the market.
